Connected Templates

Connected Templates are the backbone of scalable site creation in Duda. Anyone on a Team Plan or higher can create and use connected templates to streamline site creation, making it easier than ever to launch multiple sites efficiently. These templates dynamically populate content from Duda’s Content Library, allowing you to save time and reduce manual effort.

In this course, you’ll learn how to use Connected Data to build reusable templates that auto-populate with personalized content. You’ll work with Business Info, Business Text, and Business Images—mapping each to site elements so every site created from your template is ready to go, no manual entry needed. You’ll also explore Collections, which are used to populate dynamic pages and list-style widgets—ideal for displaying FAQs, staff directories, and more. 

By the end of the course, you'll be able to:

• Create connected templates that dynamically pull in content from any source.
• Understand how to prepare your templates for data automation.
• (Optional) Lay the groundwork to push content via API for even greater efficiency—available on Custom Plans.

Prerequisites

• Familiarity with Duda's Platform: While not mandatory, having basic knowledge of how Duda works—such as creating sites, managing templates, and handling client accounts—will help you follow along more easily.
• Plan Requirement: You should have access to a Trial account or Team Plan (or higher) to create and use connected templates.
• Basic Understanding of Data Mapping: While not required, some experience with data mapping or working with databases will be helpful.
• Recommended Course: It's highly recommended to have completed the Dynamic Pages and Collections course to understand how dynamic content works within Duda.
